TRAUMA-INFORMED INTIMACY HEALING FACILITATOR TRAINING

A professional two-year training led by Dhyani Maria Kovar focused on conscious work with intimacy, relationships, and the nervous system.

TRAUMA-INFORMED INTIMACY HEALING FACILITATOR TRAINING

1,5-year long training - 7 modules in 4 days

This training is especially valuable for therapists, bodyworkers, psychotherapists, facilitators, coaches, and anyone whose work touches the area of intimacy.

It integrates trauma-informed approaches, embodied work, intimacy, and conscious relationships.

The training follows a bottom-up approach, where learning is rooted in embodied experience and nervous system awareness rather than theory alone.

Through experiential learning, it supports both personal transformation and the ability to create a safe space for others.

Who Is the Training For?

Intimacy is one of the most sensitive areas of human life. Working with the body, sexuality, emotions, and relationships requires a high level of safety, ethics, and the ability to understand the human nervous system.

Many therapists, coaches, and facilitators today do not have sufficient training for working with intimate themes. As a result, they often lack confidence in this area and avoid engaging with these topics altogether. At the same time, there are workshops and trainings where a deeper understanding of trauma and safe facilitation is missing, which can lead to overwhelm or retraumatization.

This training was created as a space for a professional, sensitive, and trauma-informed approach to intimacy and relationships. It is grounded in an understanding of the nervous system, embodied awareness, emotions, boundaries, and the ability to create a relational space where people feel respected, supported, and emotionally supported.

Many people today hesitate to seek support because they do not trust that intimacy-related work can truly be approached with care and integrity. One of the main intentions of this training is to contribute to a new generation of facilitators who are able to guide these sensitive areas with greater awareness, grounded presence, humility, and respect.

Who is the training for

This training is primarily intended for professionals who already work with people and wish to deepen their skills in the areas of intimacy, relationships, embodied work, and trauma-informed facilitation.

It is especially suitable for:

  • therapists and psychotherapists,
  • coaches and personal development guides,
  • facilitators of groups and circles,
  • constellation facilitators,
  • bodyworkers and somatic practitioners,
  • couples therapists and relationship guides,
  • intimacy educators,
  • professionals in helping professions,
  • and anyone whose work touches sensitive areas of human intimacy.

The training is also open to those who are only beginning their professional path, but feel a clear inner calling to work consciously, ethically, and safely with people in the future.

More important than previous experience is the willingness for personal growth, the capacity for self-reflection, emotional maturity, sensitivity toward others, and a respectful approach to working with the body, emotions, intimacy, and relationships.

We especially value participants who are genuinely committed to their own learning process and who wish to contribute to a group atmosphere of openness, professionalism, mutual respect, and shared growth.

„The more sensitive the subject, the gentler our presence needs to be.“

Dhyani Maria Kovar

Principles of the training

Working with intimacy, the body, and sexuality requires a high level of sensitivity, ethics, and the ability to recognize and respect the capacity of each individual. This training is grounded in respect for the nervous system, voluntariness, presence, and gradual, embodied work within the capacity of each participant.

The training is based on the principles of:

  • safety, choice, and respect for personal boundaries,
  • slowing down and developing presence,
  • working within the capacity of the nervous system,
  • ethics and conscious facilitation,
  • integration rather than overwhelm.

The training includes experiential exercises focused on conscious contact, breath, body awareness, communication, relational presence, and working with boundaries. Participants will explore these areas through guided embodied practices, reflection, partner exercises, and group processes designed to support awareness, nervous system regulation, and relational capacity.

Everything takes place within a respectful and carefully held framework, with full respect for personal boundaries and always on the basis of choice and consent.

The intention of this training is not to create intense sexual experiences, but to develop the capacity to work with intimacy in a sensitive, safe, grounded, ethical, and trauma-informed way.

FAQ

Do I need to be a therapist?

No. The training is intended both for professionals already working with people and for those who feel a clear inner calling to work consciously and safely with intimacy, relationships, and human experience in the future.

Is the training suitable for individuals or couples?

The training is open to both individuals and couples. Most participants join individually, while some couples choose to go through the training together.

Will the training include sexual practices?

No. The purpose of the training is not to create intense sexual experiences or group sexual activities. The program will include gentle experiential exercises focused on body awareness, breath, communication, boundaries, conscious contact, touch and relational presence. Everything takes place within a safe and respectful framework based on choice, consent, and respect for personal boundaries.

How is work with boundaries approached?

Working with boundaries is one of the core pillars of the training. Participants are supported in recognizing their own needs, nervous system capacity, and the ability to freely say yes or no. Voluntariness, respect, and conscious consent are natural parts of the entire process.

What if I have my own trauma?

Many people join the training also with the intention of better understanding themselves and their own inner experience. The training is not a substitute for psychotherapy or trauma treatment, but it creates a safe environment for personal growth, self-awareness, and developing nervous system regulation. If someone is currently going through a highly intense traumatic process, an individual consultation regarding participation may be recommended.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. Participants receive a certificate upon completion of the training.

Is the training translated?

Yes. The main part of the training is taught in English and translated into Czech. Some parts of the program are facilitated directly in Czech by Czech assistants.
